Creating a Dream Team of Utah Wedding Vendors in the Regret Free Wedding Podcast: Episode 12: 10 Steps to Curate a Dream Team of Wedding Vendors

Choosing a team of amazing, high-quality Utah wedding vendors is the key to having an amazing wedding. We’re diving into 10 steps to help you choose and then communicate with your wedding vendors in order to bring your wedding vision to life.

First of all, I want to reiterate how important it is to have people help you. Whether that’s a wedding planner or not. I know that hiring a planner may not be a reality for you so whether it is or not and especially if it’s not you can and must let people help you– even if they’re not professionals. Friends, sisters, bridesmaids, moms, they can help you find vendors and do the nitty-gritty work. Take people you trust up on their offer for help! Sometimes this will be your vendors, sometimes family and friends.

Go listen to episode 9 if you haven’t even if you’re not going to hire a planner. On your wedding day you should not be the go-to person that is the only one who knows all the details. Choose someone you trust. Direct all questions to them and let them be the one in charge of making sure the day runs smoothly so that you can relax. The only thing that should be totally left to your care on your wedding day is getting married.

Ask for Help:  Ideally, I think a lot of us brides love the idea of DIY and doing it ourselves.. But the truth is, you don’t have all the time in the world. Brides who have beautiful days let people help them. If you want to make this work, you have to let other people help you. And in this episode we’re going to be talking about how to do this correctly while still getting the results you want whether it’s vendors or friends you’re asking for help.

First let’s talk about why it’s so important to Invest in a Professional. Family and friends are wonderful. But a professional can bring experience, expertise, and skill that family and friends cannot. Wedding vendors see weddings day in and day out as a part of their JOB. We know the industry! As a photographer, I know all the group shots to get and all the emotional moments you’ll want captured and how to be where I need to be when I need to be there. I know how to put you at ease and make you feel like a million bucks. Your aunt with her hobby camera hasn’t dedicated her life to photography as a career like pro photographers do. The same is true for every vendor. Obviously I’m biased, but usually things that are too good to be true are. If your aunt with a camera is going to do your pictures for free, just remember to think about the other side of the equation: quality. A professional cannot only deliver high quality images but also a high quality experience. And your wedding is really about the experience you have. You’ll love your wedding if you love how you feel.
