One of my favorite parts of being a Salt Lake City wedding photographer is definitely meeting couples like Heidi and Jacob. Holy smokes. They are gorgeous, perfect together, and have the personalities to back it all up! I just love these two!
Heidi and Jacob met as Freshman at BYU. They had mutual friends and hung out a few times and Jacob even tried to set Heidi up with a friend! But it didn’t go anywhere and Jacob realized, man, I should ask her out! So he did. They went on their first date to a BYU Jazz group concert and officially started dating a few weeks later. They continued to date for the next two years. Meanwhile, Jacob served two summers as a performing missionary at Nauvoo, Illinois. After his second summer away, they knew they were the ones for each other. He saved up for a ring and on their two year anniversary he proposed! Heidi’s dream is to be a windmill engineer (how cool is that!), so Jacob proposed to her near the Spanish Fork windmills. So sweet! They are both engineering students and enjoy watching movies, playing board games, cooking, and traveling together.
I had a blast with these two at our session. Heidi’s dress was so stunning and she is just GORGEOUS. And she MADE her bouquet! Like how impressive is that?! They were so fun and even braved the occasional sprinkles of rain with me! Heidi and Jacob, I am SO excited and happy for you two. I am so glad you found each other! You are one of those couples that just goes together so perfectly. I’m so excited to celebrate with you soon! Congrats!!
