Bride guide # 27 is all about picking the perfect veil and accessories by provo utah wedding photographer lauren kay photography
You guys. I love veils now. So much. But when I was planning my wedding, I was convinced I didn’t want one. When it comes to your accessories and veil, have an open mind. You may fall in love with something you weren’t expecting.
There are so many veil options. Trim or no? What length? The fabric and lay of it? If you choose to have a veil, choose the length and style that matches your dress best, and the overall theme for your wedding.
Veils are gorgeous, but there are so many other beautiful accessories that you can wear in your hair in addition to or in place of a veil. Floral crowns, laurel wreaths, flower clips, other hair clips, loose flowers or pearls. There are so many beautiful options. Experiment and see what you love. Whether you opt for a veil or another hair piece or nothing at all, do whatever you feel most beautiful in.
Besides hair accessories, depending on your dress and style you may also want earrings, a necklace, a bracelet, and a special perfume (we’ll get to shoes in a minute). Accessories are a great place to add meaning. Maybe ask your dad or groom to buy you a special necklace or pair of earrings. Maybe you can wear an heirloom bracelet. Maybe you and your mom are going to wear matching jewelry. Find ways to make these little details special.
