Bride Guide #54 is everything you need to know about the morning of your wedding by Logan Utah Wedding Photographer Lauren Kay Photography.
Relax. Breathe. Enjoy.
Girl, you are here! You did it! Choose to embrace each moment, no matter how it comes. Expect the
unexpected. You have done all you can to prepare and make this an incredibly meaningful and special
day for you and your groom. Now, don’t stress. Take everything as it comes. Laugh. Be lighthearted.
Smile. Say “thank you”. And have the time of your life.
One of the best tips I can give you for the morning of your big day is to make it relaxed. Get up earlier
than you think you need to. Budget more time than expected for your hair and makeup. Be generous
with travel time. The more time you budget, the more you guarantee that those unexpected curveballs
won’t throw you. Try to incorporate meaningful things into your morning if you can. Go to breakfast
with your groom, have breakfast with your parents, go on a nice calming walk. Whatever is your style.
Maybe you’re doing an earlier wedding or even sunrise pictures and your morning is a bit more booked.
If so, still do all you can to give yourself enough time for each step and plan on doing something
meaningful with your groom later in the day.
To have with you: ● Temple bag and clothing and recommend ● Marriage license ● Dress on hangar ● Robe for getting ready ● Perfume ● Earrings, necklace, bracelet, or other jewelry ● Wedding ring and wedding band (make sure your groom’s ring makes it there too) ● Bouquet ● Shoes ● Announcements ● Veil or hair accessories ● Anything sentimental or special you want photographed ● An extra pair of clothes and shoes ● Your exit clothing ● Underwear ● Lingerie ● Any hair and makeup tools if you’re doing it yourself ● Water ● Snacks ● Wedding night and honeymoon bags ● Purse – phone, wallet, and keys
Exchange notes. At some point, take a minute to exchange the notes you have for each other. This also means, tell your groom beforehand to write you a note! Just because you have to ask doesn’t make it less meaningful. You must eat and drink! You don’t want to pass out. And it’s happened to brides before. Eat and drink sister.
Pro tip: Choose a well-lit and spacious space to get ready in. You want it to be well-lit for pictures and spacious to help you stay relaxed. If you need someone amazing to help you get ready click here: https://laurenkayphoto.com/vendors, https://sarahhicken.com/
