Hi, I’m Lauren. When I’m not business building and shooting beautiful photos, you can find me on any sort of different adventure. From making my home a happy place to be – changing bums, folding laundry, playing peek-a-boo, vacuuming, reading stories – to adventuring at the park with my wild one year old, partying at playdates, and exploring with my husband and baby girl. You can usually find us browsing a local farmer’s market, going on a drive for no reason, getting donuts, or having a Disney dance party. I love morning air and walks in the cemetery (it’s way better than it sounds), I can never pass up a good game night and time with family and friends, I could probably live off of pancakes and popcorn, I’m often found browsing Hobby Lobby just for fun, and you can usually find me learning something new, working on a project, or baking something.
I always wanted to marry someone more adventurous than I was, and little did I know the beautiful, and literally crazy, adventure I was beginning. I grew up as a small town Idaho girl with big dreams to do some good in the word and travel it too. I became a Utah State Aggie (well, a true Aggie to be precise ????). When I married my husband, he had no intention to ever be a pilot, but a year into our marriage – with a baby on the way, a huge leap of faith, and a tight, tight budget – we stepped into the world of aviation. It has been the craziest adventure, but my, and our, dream of traveling the world has never been more of a possibility.
It’s hard to say just when my journey in photography began. Part of it began as a search for a way to be a stay-home mom and help pay the bills while my husband got through school. And now it’s grown into so much more. I’ve always wanted to own my own business and spread goodness, and a passion for photography has always been inside of me too. My family used to tease me that I was the “paparazzi” because I was always taking pictures of them. ????I loved taking pictures of landscapes and beautiful scenery too, but one day I noticed that the pictures I really cared to look at later were the ones of people that captured memories. I’ve loved every customer service job I’ve ever had because I love being around people and serving others. My own love story is the biggest reason I have a passion for photography. I strive to capture each moment and emotion, the things that will make you look back and remember and cry and be giddy excited all over again.
