They just held each other. For a long time. As if to say, “Finally. I’m so happy to be yours”. All of the friends and family there to support them a beautiful chatter in the background. The amazing view of Cache Valley, the mountains, and the temple they had just been sealed in for eternity behind them. It was one of those moments where time seemed to slow down. Hannah and Doug were married now, the celebration was coming to a close, and this embrace conveyed the deep joy they had to finally be husband and wife, for eternity.
Their day was perfect. So many friends and family had come from different states to celebrate this beautiful wedding. When Hannah and Doug came out of the temple, pure joy is the best way to describe it. Hannah’s beautiful bridesmaids, her best friends since elementary, huddled around her with the biggest smiles. As Hannah and Doug’s parents told them each something they wanted them to know, the feeling of love in the air was palpable.
At their luncheon, I loved listening to amazing musical numbers prepared by their family members. It was one of the neatest traditions I’ve ever seen. Their day was a perfect celebration of an amazing couple.
Hannah and Doug, I am so happy for you. You are a couple that I could tell was so ready for this amazing new chapter. The grace, poise, and calm you brought to every aspect of your day was contagious. You are an amazing couple. I cannot wait to see what amazing adventures life brings for you two (and the awesome Chaco tan lines you get through them all). ????
XO, Lauren
