I love being a Utah wedding photographer, and I’m grateful for so much more too. My hubby told me this super interesting fact he heard the other day.
One of the best ways to cope with feelings of anxiety and fear is to think of what you’re grateful for.
It has something to do with how your brain works. Don’t quote me on it, but when you feel fear and anxiety you can counter that by activating your frontal lobe. And thinking of things you’re grateful for is one of the best ways to activate your frontal lobe. I thought that was so incredible.
One of my favorite gratitude practices is from Rachel Hollis called the Start Today journal. You can buy a journal or just get a piece of paper or simple notebook. But you start each day by writing down things you’re grateful for. I am definitely not super on top of this but when I do it, I think it really makes a difference in how I feel that day.
So this Thanksgiving, here are 10 things I am super grateful for:
The generosity of others.
Freedoms that allow us to pursue and achieve our dreams.
