Bride Guide #54 gives you tips on the morning of and helps you not forget anything by SLC Utah Wedding Photographer Lauren Kay Photography.
Depending on your timeline, spending time with your groom may be in the morning or after your
sealing/ceremony. But whatever time it’s possible, I think spending some time together, just the two of
you, on your wedding day is so special. Whether you go out to breakfast together, go on a morning walk,
go get lunch together (Chick-fil-A even does something special for brides and grooms I think!), or go out in the evening and look at the stars. Whatever it is, whenever it is, schedule in some time to be with your groom. He’s what this is all about. It doesn’t have to be long orfancy. Just something. As a SLC Utah wedding photographer, I love seeing couples incorporating special time for them into their day.
The morning of your wedding you may be nervous. You may feel like you don’t have time to eat. But do
it. Even if you can only stomach a little bit, eat whatever you can. Drink water. The nerves will wear off
and you don’t want to be starving. And you definitely don’t want to pass out. It’s likely going to be a long
day, so eat! Have as good and as healthy of a breakfast as you can. Also make sure that you have a plan
for both lunch and dinner. Don’t skip meals! Have someone make or bring you something, and keep
snacks with you. Do what you need to in order to stay nourished and hydrated. And make sure your
groom is too!
Whether you have a civil ceremony or a temple sealing, make getting ready special. Whether you are in
your getting ready room at your venue, at a hotel, or at home, it doesn’t matter. If it’s your style, invite
your mom, bridesmaids, and sisters to help you. Have your vendors come to wherever you are rather
than going to them. Put on some music. Reminisce. Have snacks. Wear a cute robe. Have your
photographer there. This can be one of the simplest and yet most meaningful parts of your day. Don’t
just get it done. Make it a part of your day.

You’ll also want to have all your details ready for your photographer. You can gather them the night
before so they are all ready to go. Here are a few things you may want photographed, but it’s really up
to you!
