Hey There, I'm Lauren.
P.S. It took an hour to get to the nearest Walmart!
Hey There, I'm Lauren.
It’s like the scene from a movie in my mind. No joke. I walked into the apartment where my brothers were living and stopped dead in my tracks. Sitting on a cushy blue chair with a brown shirt and terribly out-of-style jeans (love you babe), sat the most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen. He said something witty that I didn’t get – it usually takes me a minute – so I just laughed like I knew what he meant. I was 15.
Fast forward two years and I was at good ol' Utah State University in the same apartment complex living next door to the man of my dreams.
It took him way too long and a decent amount of boldness on my part for him to realize how great I was (wink). After strategically sitting by him at every football game, going on an 11 mile hike on 3 hours of sleep just to be with him, learning how to play Ultimate Frisbee, making him a treat on his birthday, and asking him on our first date (true story), we finally started dating.
We got married a year later – with a bumpy start – but I can genuinely say it only gets better and better. We love traveling and adventuring basically anywhere together, eating donuts, going on walks, obsessing over our babies, and chatting for hours.
My senior year of college, in the middle of a 21-credit semester, we had our first baby girl. It was crazy and amazingly difficult. But it was also absolutely the best thing that happened to our marriage and family. Two years later, we welcomed another gorgeous baby girl into our family. I won’t lie. Being a mom is hands-down the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But at the same time, it is the most amazing work I’ve ever been a part of. No words can describe it.
My full-time gig is being a mother. You can usually find me changing bums, playing kitchen, reading tons of books, adventuring at the park, or building block towers. I cherish my babies and love being able to be home to teach and love on them.
LKP all began with a tiny baby. When I was pregnant with our first, I tried to find a job where I could work from home to be with my little one + love what I do. Since I wasn’t able to find a job like that, I made one.
I bought a DSLR. And it was easy-peasy after that because I had a lot of experience... if you count that one time I took a pic on auto for that family on vacation with their camera... Okay, you got me. I had no experience, so I taught myself how to use a DSLR camera, edit, and run a business (thank goodness for Google and nap time).
My main goal is for you and your sweetheart to start your marriage off in the best possible way. I love capturing tear-jerking, joyful candids and all those beautiful details. But most of all, I love becoming BFFs with my couples and serving them every step of the way.
